I was the first engineer at UniqLearn — I took it from a hand-written prototype to a production platform serving roughly a thousand students a day. I owned the architecture, the data model, and the reliability of a regulated product, and built out the engineering team as we grew.
Hired as employee #1. Hand-wrote the original prototype — this was the GPT-4 era, before agentic coding tools existed — and carried it all the way to a production platform at ~1,000 daily active users.
Designed the Firebase Firestore schema and data model from scratch for a regulated K-12 product — students, classes, assignments, learning profiles.
Diagnosed and resolved live production outages as usage scaled, hardening reliability in real environments rather than on a whiteboard.
When our AI pipeline made synchronous HTTP requests too latent, I moved the heavy work to a queue-based system so the product stayed responsive under real traffic.
Grew and mentored a team of 1–4 junior engineers — code-review standards, agile cadence, and the technical roadmap.
